1. Learn & READ
Research books and articles discussing refugees and the root causes for resettlement. There is a wealth of resources available, from novels (adult and juvenile) to histories to memoirs to news articles to academic research.
2. Talk & SHARE
Host a conversation in your own home. Invite friends, family, and colleagues to an intimate discussion in your home (or coffee shop, library, etc.) to build awareness of refugee issues, share the realities of resettlement, and offer concrete steps people can take to create a more welcoming environment for newcomer families.

>> We can help you learn where to advertise, and we'll promote your business too!
4. SHOW UP LOCALLY
Join our public education actions, electronically and in person! Follow us @PANASanDiego on Twitter and Facebook, share our #ShowUp4Refugees calls to action on social media, and show up in person to our local events (see Upcoming Events, below).
5. SUPPORT PANA
Newcomer.Life is a project of the Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans—PANA. Please support our efficient, effective nonprofit as we work to advance fact-based policies to advance the economic, social, and civic inclusion of newcomer families.
